drawing on skateboards is a great way to destress and more importantly have fun. i'm in the process of making 10 boards right now and want to try and make at least 1 every day. drawing is great and therapeutic, can help a lot if ur ever feeling unstable. making a logo board specifically has lots of repetitive motions to soothe the mind.

i am currently operating in an art studio upstairs at the warehouse. we have a vert ramp in the back. i also live and sleep here. making a board usually goes something like this. i sit at the edge of my bed (read: mattress - bedframe coming soon guys) with a board on my lap and a paint marker. i like these shitty generic brand ones. each one usually lasts in an opaque state across three boards, top and bottom plies. also depends on the amount of ink that goes on the graphic. a lot of the time i'll work on 2 boards with different graphics at the same time. when one is drying or if i get over it its nice to switch it up. once the graphics are done they r gonna all get clear coated which i'm for some reason only just trying now for the first time.

i never even really wanted to make boards or anything. i just didnt wanna be another instagram page u feel me? but now that im doing it im having lots of fun. you can get blanks for pretty cheap that aren't horrible quality. i also wanna make wheels and maybe board rails eventually. the possibilities are endless:)

making boards is also a great time to listen to music or watch tv. today i listened to the i have dreams ep and a whole bunch of graf orlock. it's a good time i swear! if ur reading this i encourage u to make ur own board. u can express urself, and who wants to buy another overpriced board from some trendy brand anyway?

anyways, thanks for tuning into the latest installment of the kitty cat blog. these boards will be finished soon and we are also getting more wristbands (with a new color!) and printed stickers for the first time. life sucks but at least we have each other! :)
